Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that changes behavior by focusing on reinforcement strategies to help gain new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. ABA treatment has been successful in increasing socially significant behaviors such as cognitive ability, social skills, verbal and non-verbal communication, motor skills, compliance, flexibility, daily living skills and mindfulness while decreasing rigidity, aggression, irritability and hyperactivity to name a few. My individualized approach and child led therapy provides a safe and adequate learning environment for all.
“An approach that blends values about the rights of people with intellectual disabilities with a practical science about how leaning and behavior change occur.”

An assessment is done by the BCBA to observe your child where the behavior is occurring the most (i.e. home, school, community etc.).
